A local Redmond moving company serving Downtown Redmond, Education Hill, Overlake, and Redmond Ridge β one all-inclusive hourly rate, no brokers.
Hi, I’m Mia. Call and you get me — not AI, not a call center.

Redmond moves split into two very different jobs. On one side there's the tech relocation β someone starting at Microsoft or Nintendo, often on short notice, frequently into an apartment near Overlake or downtown that they've only seen in photos. On the other there's the established family home on Education Hill or out toward Bear Creek, where the house has been lived in for fifteen years and the garage alone is a day's work.
We're based in Kirkland, ten minutes up the road, and we run Redmond daily. That matters most for the short-notice moves β we can often cover a Redmond job inside the same week, which is exactly what a relocation timeline tends to demand.
You get one all-inclusive hourly rate covering the truck, blankets, shrink wrap, tape, furniture assembly, stairs, and travel time. No broker handoff β the person who answers the phone manages your move, and the crew that shows up are our own background-checked employees.
Redmond runs from dense new apartment blocks to five-acre lots on the eastern edge, and the plan changes completely between them:
Heavily redeveloped over the last few years, with new mid-rise apartments clustered near Redmond Town Center and the light rail station. These buildings are generally well designed for moving β real loading bays and service elevators β but they schedule move-ins tightly and require a COI naming the property manager. Book the elevator as soon as you have keys.
Dense apartments and townhomes serving the Microsoft campus. Lots of turnover, lots of short-notice moves, and parking that's often structured rather than street-level β which means height restrictions. We check garage clearance before sending a 26-foot truck, because a low beam ends a move day fast.
Established single-family homes, many on sloped lots with split-level interiors. Stairs are the defining factor here. It's where furniture disassembly saves the most time, and it's included in your hourly rate rather than billed separately.
A mix of older single-family homes and newer townhome developments, with generally good driveway access. These tend to be the most straightforward moves in Redmond β the main variable is how much has accumulated in the garage.
Larger homes on bigger lots further east, often inside master-planned communities with HOA move rules and gate access to arrange. Long driveways are common. We plan crew size around carry distance here β a 200-foot approach changes the hours more than an extra bedroom does.
Quieter established streets near the lake and the valley floor. Mostly good access, though some of the older homes have narrow stairwells and doorways that predate modern furniture. Worth mentioning any oversized pieces when we do the estimate.
What you pay for movers in Redmond comes down to crew size and hours worked. We charge one all-inclusive hourly rate β truck, blankets, shrink wrap, tape, furniture assembly, stairs, and travel time are all inside it, so the number you're quoted is the number you pay.
Rough guide for a typical Redmond move:
Two things stretch a Redmond move past the estimate. Structured parking garages in Overlake and downtown sometimes force us to park further out and carry, and the larger properties toward Bear Creek and Redmond Ridge often have long driveways plus HOA rules about where a truck can sit. Both are easy to plan for once we know about them.
Mid-week and mid-month dates are the cheapest way to move in Redmond, and they're also when apartment elevators are easiest to reserve. We run daily routes between Redmond and Kirkland, Bellevue, Sammamish, and Woodinville. Request a free quote or call (206) 590-2288 β on-site or by video, no obligation.
Other companies bill separately for blankets, tape, shrink wrap, and assembly. Not us. Standard with every Redmond move:
The person you talk to on the phone manages your move. No job reselling, no mystery crews.
All-inclusive hourly rate covers truck, supplies, stairs, and parking. What we quote is what you pay.

"Sam and his team are so professional, efficient, and kind. I got a call the day before to confirm parking and crew size, then a detailed cost breakdown before they started — no surprises."
"Super easy online reservation, and the team on move day was excellent: friendly, quick, arrived on time, and finished in the exact quoted time, hustling the entire way."
"Moving was incredibly stressful and they treated me with respect — everything went so smoothly. I will definitely be using them again and recommending them to anyone I can."
Yes β Downtown Redmond, Overlake, Education Hill, Grass Lawn, Willows, Idylwood, Bear Creek, Redmond Ridge, and the Sammamish Valley. We're based in Kirkland, about ten minutes away. Call (206) 590-2288 and we'll confirm your exact address.
It depends on crew size and hours worked. We charge one all-inclusive hourly rate β truck, blankets, shrink wrap, assembly, stairs, and travel time included. A studio typically takes 3β5 hours with 2 movers; a 2-bedroom 4β6 hours with 3 movers; a 3β4 bedroom home 6β9 hours with 3β4 movers. Call (206) 590-2288 for an exact quote.
Often within the same week. Redmond is a short run from our Kirkland base, so we hold more flexibility here than companies dispatching from Seattle. Tell us your start date when you call and we'll work backwards from it. Weekends and month-end still fill first.
We check clearance before dispatch. Many structured garages around Overlake and downtown Redmond have height limits that rule out a 26-foot truck, so we either bring a smaller vehicle or park outside and plan the carry. Mention the garage during the estimate and it's a non-issue.
Most of the newer apartments downtown and around Overlake do, and we provide it free. Send us the property management company's name and address 2β3 business days ahead. Redmond Ridge and other HOA communities sometimes have their own requirements too β worth checking your welcome packet.
Yes, free and with no obligation. Our manager can visit your home, or we can do a video walk-through β which is usually faster if you're relocating from out of state and haven't moved in yet.
Yes β short- and long-term storage between moves. Your items are packed, inventoried, and stored by the same crew that moves you. This comes up a lot with relocations where the start date and the lease date don't line up.
